Dr. Lance Mambondiani

Dr Lance Shingai Mambondiani is the Group CEO of Coronation Financial Holdings, a financial services firm with interests in the financial advisory, Payments, crowdfunding, lending and international remittances, AI and Data Analytics. He is a former CEO of ABC Holdings Zimbabwe and Managing Director of BancABC Zimbabwe. Prior to BancABC, he was CEO at Steward Bank, a subsidiary of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, where he also served as Non-Executive Director at Steward Health. He has worked for several regional and international financial institutions and was lecturer in International Finance for Development at the University of Lancashire in the United Kingdom. He is a renowned turnaround strategist and recognized internationally as a digital banking thought leader, with an established track record of innovating and delivering financial results in challenging environments.

He has a combination of skills in financial markets, retail banking delivery channels, private wealth management, corporate finance, business law and development finance and economics. He is a global expert on Fintech, Innovation and Digitisation of Banks and speaks at conferences and forums across the world.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLBS. Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in Development Finance (First Class) at the University of Manchester and completed his PhD in Banking and Finance in 2011, analysing Bank Ownership and Profitability in the Zimbabwean Banking Sector at the same University. He is also a recipient of the highly prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the British Council.
